[PRESS RELEASE] Health Bloggers in for an Awesome Treat with Zoomanity Group

In this time and age of social media hype, it is truly no wonder that health professionals and advocates alike be tech savvies. If you've read my previous blog post regarding the recently concluded #iBlog10: The 10th Philippine Blogging Summit, you would remember the infamous Dr. Bien Nillos (@DocBIENevolent) who gave five reasons as to why doctors and health professionals should blog.

In response to this call, the Philippine Health Bloggers Society, together with Zoomanity Group will conduct a free blogging workshop at Paradizoo, Mendez, Cavite and Residence Inn, Tagaytay on 3 May 2014. The free event entitled, "Blogging for Health and Wellness" will feature the likes of veteran journalists Inday Espina-Varona of Change.org and Michaela Sarah de Leon of Health Beat Magazine. They will be joined by brand and marketing specialist Engr. Grace Bondad-Nicolas, PHBS Founding Chairman and nurse blogger Alvin Dakis and PHBS President Janina Santos.

Newbie and skilled bloggers who would be joining the workshop will learn more about starting a blog, writing good content and eventually how to make money from it, and the ins and outs of online libel from the abovementioned roster of bloggers and journalists.

The event will be made possible through the generosity of Zoomanity Group, Gardenia Bakers Philippines, Victoria Court and Global Learning Innovations Institute. Media partners which include FAME Publishing, Tribune Post and Kliping Times will also cover the event.

This event is an initiative of PHBS which aims to put together people who would advocate for a healthier Philippines through blogging.
